This page explains what the bullion desk can act on, what it cannot answer, and what happens to a correction.

How to report a figure

The desk exists for one reason: to keep its published figures accurate and clearly sourced. Write if a figure looks wrong, if a source link has stopped working or moved, or if you have a question about how a measurement was taken. Those are the matters the editor can investigate and, where needed, correct.

A reader who has spotted a discrepancy between a table on this site and the named public source should send the detail. The desk will re-read the source at its publisher, compare the two, and either fix the figure or explain why it stands. No correction is made without that check.

What happens to a correction

When a figure is wrong, the editor corrects it, dates the correction, and leaves the original error visible only in the correction note. That way a reader can see what changed and when. Corrections are not hidden and are not rewritten as if the error never appeared.

The dated correction is the desk’s promise to the reader. It means the table can be trusted because any mistake is owned and shown. If the error came from a misreading of a source, the correction names the source and states what the desk now shows.

What this desk cannot answer

This desk cannot give personal investment advice, cannot help with a broker’s account, and cannot offer tips. No one here is licensed to tell a reader what to buy or when to sell. The figures describe what things cost, not what a reader should do.

Questions about a specific purchase, a jeweller’s bill, or a broker’s platform should go to the shop or broker concerned. The desk has no access to any reader’s account and no authority to intervene. Writing here about those matters will not produce an answer.

How to reach the editor

Write to editor@ingottradein.com. The address reaches Rohit Menon, the bullion desk editor named on the pages, who is responsible for what the site states. There is no comment form and no newsletter; email is the only channel.

The desk reads every message but replies only when it can add something. A reader who reports an error will be told what the desk found. A reader who asks for advice will be told, briefly, that the desk does not give it.
